The Best Of Travel-Sized Beauty Under One Virtual Roof

February 4, 2010  3:35 pm

File this under ideas you’ve had but never acted on. The totally genius concept of a stand-alone store devoted to your favorite, TSA-friendly beauty products will finally become a reality when Kate Duff and Alexi Mintz launch 3floz.com this week. As suggested by its URL name, the site only carries products that are 3.4 oz or smaller from an assortment of 30 brands that offer quality skincare basics. (Makeup and fragrance will reportedly be added to the list of offerings down the line.) Choose from Dr. Hauschka face creams, Jonathan Product shampoo and conditioners, and a host of body salves from Pangea Organics to properly primp out your next air travel experience. Even if you’re not taking to the skies anytime soon, the smaller bottles (and smaller price tags) offer a chance to try certain brands you’ve always been curious about, but maybe not curious enough to shell out for the full size.
