The New Red Lip’s Off-Runway Debut

Red lips were all over the Fall catwalks in New York, making a slew of Valentine’s Day weekend appearances, followed by encores at Max Azria, Donna Karan, Reem Acra, and Nanette Lepore. Kate Bosworth took the popular hue from the runway to reality last night, sporting a gorgeous shade of glossy crimson to the Calvin Klein after-party. As a brunette, we’ll be the first to attest to the color’s versatility (it pretty much looks good on everybody),
but it might be at its best when paired with golden blond waves and a filled-in brow. What do you think?

  1. I have been dubbed the “Lipstick Santa.” Why? Red is not a “go to” colour for people with brown hair. Intellectually speaking I am very conscious of the messages that red lips may send. When under the spell of benevolent delusion my alter ago takes over and before I know it, I am at a Chanel counter! Spell breaks and best friend profits from my temporary insanity…
