First Look: EDUN And Sephora Get World Cup Fever

For soccer lovers and (lovers of soccer players) this summer is a big deal. The FIFA World Cup will arrive in South Africa in T-minus 78 days, bringing with it footballers from all over the globe battling it out on the pitch for love of sport and country. But those of you more interested in cosmetics than corner kicks should benefit, too. Sephora has collaborated with EDUN, Ali Hewson and Bono’s ethical clothing line, on a collection of limited-edition products set to debut in May in honor of the tournament’s host country. The result is two color palettes with coordinating shades of eye and cheek colors, each of which comes in an organic cotton pouch for easy totability. Sephora will donate three dollars from the sale of every compact to the Wildlife Conservation Society, which supports the Conservation Cotton Initiative in its efforts to help African farmers develop organic cotton in ways that support community and biodiversity. The soft, highly pigmented powders make for great everyday wear—and in a pinch for the hard-core soccer fans out there, the brighter color options could substitute for face paint.
