Have Beauty Products, Will Travel

Only a lucky few can honestly claim that travel doesn’t wreak havoc on their skin; I somehow seem to emerge from every flight with a zit on my face that wasn’t there when I boarded. If anyone is to be trusted to dole out travel beauty advice, it’s SpaceNK founder Nicky Kinnaird, who spends an inordinate amount of time jetting around the globe seeking out new brands. Here, she shares her five must-pack beauty products.
David Kirsch supplement packets (Protein Plus in vanilla, $58 for 20 packets, and Super Charged Greens, $65 for 30 packets)
Perfect when you are on the move; just add two packets to your water bottle and you have a nutritious meal when healthy food options are hard to come by. The Protein Plus packet contains 25 grams of high-quality whey protein isolate, 10 grams of omega-3-rich organic flax seed, and 5 grams of fiber. And by adding the Super Charged Greens sachet, you get a unique blend of prebiotics, probiotics, enzymes, and antioxidants. Besides calming food cravings, this combo helps bring a healthy radiance to my skin.
Bakel Serum One (antioxidant formula), $145
When I travel, I use Bakel’s innovative 100 percent active serum under my moisturizer morning and evening on my face, neck, and décolleté area. It contains high concentrations of lactobionic acid, a powerful antioxidant that helps improve elasticity; glucolactone, which improves skin tone; and deeply hydrating vegetable glycerine.
Wei Tibetan Chrysanthemum Correcting Eye Treatment Pads, $60
Great for scratchy, dry, tired, or puffy eyes (and lids), these pads help diminish the appearance of puffiness and dark circles—Tibetan chrysanthemum acts on puffiness, while mulberry leaf extract helps eliminate dark circles.
Kate Somerville Quench Hydrating Mask, $45
This mask is the perfect skin pick-me-up after flying—it calms and soothes skin and delivers dramatic hydration. Hyaluronic acid pulls moisture deep into the skin cells, allantoin and panthenol soften and plump, and cucumber and willowherb extracts help to soothe sensitivity, reduce redness, and restore a healthy glow.
Neil George Volumizing Lift Spray, $24
This amazingly light formula gives flat, travel-weary hair extra lift and body. It is paraben-free and infused with scalp-soothing lime flower and orange blossom extracts.
