Now that the word “pouf” has joined our everyday lexicon (thank you, Jersey Shore), the idea of bigger, higher hair is on everyone’s brains—including those of us in the fashion set. We’d never resort to Bumpits (it’s really the name that bothers us the most), but we have been on a bit of a volume quest lately, and seeing as how we’ve been making a concerted effort to green our bathroom as much as possible for Earth Month and beyond, we’re currently test-driving Jonathan Product’s new 100 percent vegan Infinite Volume collection. The three-piece line includes a sulfate-free shampoo, lightweight conditioner, and a sulfate-free thickening foam—all of which are formulated with a proprietary expansion nanotechnology, which is a fancy way of saying they contain biopolymers and natural oils that have an ability to quickly penetrate and plump the hair shaft. Each product boasts its own blend of fragrant botanical essences as well, making for a lovely aromatic experience every time you use them. As for the results, they’re good. Our hair is definitely way less flat, and perhaps more importantly, it looks generally well nourished and shiny. The range doesn’t seem to have the capacity to create, say, the “Snooki,” but we’re not really going for that anyway.
