Caswell-Massey Sees the Limelight

As America’s oldest retailer of personal care products, Caswell-Massey has seen passing beauty fads come and go. But as the trend toward organic ingredients and greener production practices seems to be gaining steam, even industry stalwarts must adapt. And so, the Newport, Rhode Island, brand—founded in 1752—will release its first all-natural collection today at its boutique inside the just-opened Limelight Marketplace. The line of hand lotions and hand wash gels comes in five scents—Lemon Verbena, Lavender & Violet, Oatmeal, Fresh Cut Flowers, and Ocean—each of which is completely devoid of parabens and phthalates as well as lauryl and laureth sulfates. Turns out you can teach an old dog new tricks.
