A new report commissioned by the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics and analyzed by the Environmental Working Group found 38 undisclosed ingredients in 17 name-brand fragrances. These “secret ingredients” are typically chemicals that companies classify as “fragrance” and do not need to be revealed to consumers by law, even though they can cause allergic reactions and other adverse health effects.
