Gucci, The Graphic Novel; The Tan Tax Is Here; And More…

More news on the Evan Rachel Wood-for-Gucci front. Not only will the actress front the print campaign for the Italian brand’s forthcoming women’s fragrance, Guilty, but she’s also starring in a film directed by Sin City’s Frank Miller to promote the new scent. Miller’s first film/fashion crossover effort details a sexy love tryst set against a futuristic cityscape shot in his classic cartoon style. All 60 seconds of it sound like they’d look pretty stellar in Imax. [WWD]

The new 10 percent tax on indoor tanning takes effect tomorrow. We’d say get your fake-baking in now, but you know better than that. [CNN]

All the hype about that lock of Napoleon’s hair that was removed after he died in exile in 1821 and subsequently put on the auction block in New Zealand has finally came to a, um, head. The 190-year-old strands were bought for $13,000 yesterday by an unnamed London collector. [BBC]

Tyra Banks’ online engine to “provide [her] audience with inspirational and instructional content to help them look and feel their best” is a go. Look out for Web-based beauty and fashion content from the model-turned-talk show host in the very near future. Hopefully this means streaming even more crazy antics [] to our personal computers.
