Sci-Fi Thriller Breeds Endorsement For Opaque Gloss

French actress Delphine Chanéac first crossed our radar earlier this year, when she and her otherworldly aquamarine eyes and jet black hair showed up at a premiere equipped with a fantastic display of matte blood orange lipstick. Perhaps it’s not shocking, then, that she’s caught our eye again for a similarly well-appointed lip color choice. Chanéac took a “you can never have too much purple” approach to her look at the Splice premiere in L.A. last night, pairing an opaque fuchsia gloss with a lilac chiffon halter dress. YSL’s Gloss Pur in #9 Pure Hibiscus will provide a similar finish, if you’re in the market—and can be a lovely complement to sheer fabrics as summer rages on. As for her newly blunt-cut fringe, heavy bangs are less warm-weather-friendly, but, like, when they look that cute it’s hard to make an argument against them, no?
