EXCLUSIVE: Peter Philips’ Chanel Soho Collection, In His Own Words

August 27, 2010  1:00 pm

News of Chanel’s latest limited-edition beauty line (not the FNO-specific Le Khaki de Chanel, but yet another one) broke yesterday when pictures of Peter Philips’ forthcoming Soho Story collection leaked onto the Internet. Images of the “strong but at the same time very feminine” palette of soft pinks and metallic grays he conceived in honor of the label’s downtown store reopening blasted across the blogosphere, and fans of the brand promptly started salivating over two gotta-have-’em nail lacquers and a face highlighter with a pop art design embossed into the pigment. But we’ve done you one better: Here, Philips gives Style.com the exclusive scoop on what inspired the range. Be the first to get your own lacquer bottles in Steel and Strong on September 7, when the entire collection premieres online.
