Lipstick Gets Louder
With lipstick, what you see is not always what you get. How often have you eagerly twisted off the cap only to discover that what looked like a fuchsia is barely a rose? With Make Up For Ever’s latest innovation, the truth is in the tube. The new Rouge Artist Intense lipstick offers, as the name implies, intense color payoff—reportedly 50 percent more pigment than many of its competitors. A specially formulated pigment complex is combined with polymers and a vegetal castor oil to turn up the volume on color, and a mix of natural waxes like candela, rice, and beeswax helps keep said pigment in place for many hours. With a range of 50 shades in matte, pearl, and satin varieties, there’s likely a denser version of your preferred hue available—our favorite so far is #48, a rich dark plum that has a goth-y feel and is the perfect nod to fall’s purple lip trend. We’ve long declared our love for a good statement lip, and this one will undoubtedly earn our continued devotion.
