Mark’s Fair Game

August 6, 2010  10:09 am

Fair and balanced? FOX News should take cues from Mark’s latest skincare line: It’s new Fair Trade body collection is balanced in its effective, fragrance-free, naturally derived formulas, and fair thanks to new fair-trade practices. The four-piece range features certified ingredients from around the world like chamomile from Egypt, vanilla from India, and cocoa butter from Peru, all of which are grown in places that employ sustainability practices and where workers’ rights are paramount, the goal being to both protect the environment and to empower rural communities in the competitive global market. As for the products themselves, the body cleanser, lotion, cream, and balm are simply designed to soften and hydrate the skin. We’re suckers for a good multipurpose product, so our favorite is The Big Fix Benefits Balm, which purports to have 15 skin-saving functions. With Fair Trade cocoa butter, olive oil, and vanilla, the deeply moisturizing stick works wonders on rough elbows and knees, smoothes unruly eyebrows, and soothes the weird dry patches that seem to always crop up on the face and body. Another reason to feel good about this collection? Nothing costs more than $14.
