NYFW Backstage Beauty Alert: Lancôme Ups The Ante
Lancôme had one of the bigger makeup coups at the Fall shows back in February, snagging sponsorship duties at two of the season’s hottest presentations, i.e., The Row and Victoria Beckham. Well, we just got an exclusive sneak peek at the company’s agenda for Spring, and we’re here to tell you that it’s equally impressive. To start, the French cosmetics giant will be back at VB, this time with Charlotte Tilbury at the helm, and its creative director of makeup, Aaron De Mey, will be painting faces at L’Wren Scott, using pigments and powders from Scott’s highly anticipated holiday collection for the brand. Both De Mey and Tilbury will also be dabbling in select items from Lancôme’s forthcoming spring collection, called Ultra Lavande—which brings us to our biggest piece of news: Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, daughter of Carine and super-stylish girl-about-town, will front the collection’s campaign, which has been shot by Mario Testino. She may not be Julia Roberts, but we’re still pretty pumped to see Ms. Restoin-Roitfeld’s mug at duty-free shops across the globe. You heard it here first.
