Kiehl’s Newest Creme of the Crop
As its many fans already know, Kiehl’s Creme de Corps is a body moisturizer of superb quality. The apothecary brand first released its classic beta-carotene-rich formula in the seventies, and it became such a hit for soothing dry, itchy skin that over the years it’s been reimagined in various forms, all equally wonderful (see: Creme de Corps Light-Weight Body Lotion, Nurturing Body Washing Cream, etc.). The latest must-have in the range is the Soy Milk & Honey Whipped Body Butter, which launched this month. The rich moisturizer shares the same nourishing base as the original creme, but it’s enhanced with oils from jojoba seeds and olives to restore the skin’s lipid barrier. It also includes protein-dense soy milk and honey to seal in long-lasting hydration and add a nice, sweet creamy scent. While the original formulation is perfect for sweeping over large sections of your body—pretty much everywhere from the neck down—the body butter is best on concentrated dry patches (elbows, knees, even lips). And art fans, take note: Kiehl’s has also released a limited-edition holiday version of the emollient salve with labels designed by Jeff Koons, profits from which will benefit The Koons Family Institute, an initiative of the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children.
