OPI for Stage Beauties

As evidenced by the recent onslaught of beauty mash-ups (Le Labo for Anthropologie; Prabal Gurung for Sally Hansen; Jason Wu for CND; Disney for MAC, just to name a few), the collaboration game is no longer the exclusive domain of fashion. OPI has been particularly adept at wrangling a few boldface names for forthcoming lacquer lines, including both Katy Perry and Justin Bieber. But to keep you satisfied until you can paint on a few coats of One Less Lonely Girl, the nail varnish giant has released its latest pop-culture-friendly collection, Burlesque. The dozen high-wattage polishes were inspired by the outrageous costumes and over-the-top glamour soon to be on display when the Steven Antin-directed film of the same name premieres this month, starring two of the world’s most legendary divas: Cher and Christina Aguilera. The movie does not hit theaters until November 24, but a full set of flashy tips is just a click away. Personal favorites include Take the Stage, a warm, punchy orange; The Show Must Go On, a creamy hot pink; Ali’s Big Break, a classic showgirl red; and Tease-y Does It, a shimmering deep burgundy. (Nipple tassles are not included, so you know.)
