The House of Chantecaille Is Open for Business

-------

Not all brands need a stand-alone store to become smash hits. Just look at Chantecaille. The mother-and-daughter operation has been a favorite with lovers of rose-scented waters, skin-rejuvenating creams, and bronzers—not to mention collectible embossed eye and cheek palettes—since it launched more than a decade ago. But there’s something to be said for a place to call one’s own, where an in-house spa room could be available for signature Chantecaille treatments and, say, an entire wall could be dedicated to showcasing the brand’s many philanthropic efforts, including its limited-edition compacts in support of Traffic, the wildlife trade monitoring network, and the International Union for Conservation of Nature. Beginning this week, these things and so much more are finally a reality as Chantecaille’s store-within-a-store at Bloomingdale’s officially opens. What else, you ask? Tea and macarons with Olivia Chantecaille on Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m., for one (the delicious pastries inspired the colorful assortment of pigments in Chantecaille’s Holiday edition face palette, which hit counters last month). The treatment room will offer a limited spa menu later this year.
