Tarte Takes A Powder-------
Tarte has long been our go-to for all things blush. The naturally-minded brand’s gel cheek stains were our first experience with non-powder color enhancers—and we’re a little sentimental about them because of it. But having recognized that there is in fact power to powder formulations, the brand is now offering an alternative to its best selling chubby color sticks in the form of a new line of Amazonian Clay Long-Wear Blush. The star ingredient in these embossed compacts (that’s a montage of the Amazon River running through the rainforest that you’re looking at above) acts to minimize oil, balance skin tone, and impart moisture to parched skin in a single sweep across cheekbones and down the bridge of the nose. Best of all, the new formula comes in eight of the same tried-and-true shades as our beloved cheek stains, which means we gravitated right to the coral-y/ peach Tipsy and applied liberally. Note to self: These solar baked compacts are con-cen-trated. A little goes a long way.
