Estée Lauder Gets In On The Mani Madness-------
Nude nails and an end to the garish colors and decals we’ve been seeing on tips for the past few seasons was the takeaway from the Fall shows, but for Spring, color still reigns supreme. Everyone is cashing in on the loud-and-proud polish trend, including, somewhat uncharacteristically, Estée Lauder. The megabrand has never been known for its experimental lacquer shades, but since bringing Tom Pecheux on as creative makeup director two years ago, it has begun moving out of its skincare-heavy comfort zone. Numbering among the eight new permanent additions to its Pure Color Nail Lacquer range are a dark, sparkling aubergine and a creamy fuchsia varnish. But what we’re really excited by are the eight limited-edition offerings Pecheux has just turned out, including Wild Blue, a bold cobalt; Violet Diva, a true purple; Perfect Storm, a black shimmer; and Wicked Green, a dark forest. Yes—you read that right; Estée Lauder now sells a green nail polish. Get it at Nordstrom.
