Givenchy’s Summer Acid Trip
Another warm day in New York, another new summer color range to talk about. To properly usher in the season of sun, sand, and skin-baring, Givenchy has just debuted its Acid Summer collection. Clever name, and it couldn’t be more apt, given the line’s Le Prismissime Yeux, a nine-color eye shadow quad featuring a palette of bright greens, yellows, and blues with complementary neutrals to tone it down a notch. Also exciting (and equally vibrant) is the brand’s latest shade of Vernis Please! Lacquer in Acid Orange. The limited-edition tangerine polish is definitely bright, but it has a softness that makes it way more wearable than similar neon adaptations currently cluttering shelves. If you’re looking to really go for it makeup-wise, we suggest adding Givenchy’s Rouge Interdit Lipstick in Candide Tangerine to the equation. The rich, blood orange bullet debuted for Spring, but like our general attitude and physical appearance, it just seems to get better and better as the temperature rises.
