Polishing Up In Boston

-------

After launching the zesty LemonAide Hand & Body Cream last summer, MiniLuxe nail lounge has a new hit on its hands: a line of private-label nail polishes that deliver long-lasting color while also protecting delicate tips from toxins. For those not familiar with the Boston-based spa, it’s the go-to pedicure place of one Gisele Bündchen—and like the supermodel, it too is deeply committed to ultra-natural practices. To wit, the new polishes are free of formaldehyde, touline, and DBP chemicals, but still pack plenty of satisfying pigment. The permanent collection includes 14 versatile shades, including a perfect rose petal pink, a neutral-but-not-washed-out beige, a slick gunmetal green, and a multi-tonal coral that changes depending on the light. Each season, the spa will also roll out two limited-edition lacquers, starting with this spring’s Sky Luxe and Sky Pink, a creamy sea foam blue and preppy punchy fuchsia, respectively. Rounding out the mix is the Luxe Lightning topcoat, a fast-drying shield that protects against fading and chips. While procuring these nail essentials requires a trip to Bean Town (they are only available in MiniLuxe’s three locations: Back Bay, Lexington, and Newton), it’s well worth the trip—especially if you pick up a few lobster rolls along with your lacquer.
