DVF To Put The “Soul” Back In Fragrance; Tinsley Gets A Makeunder; And More…

First DVF dropped the name of her forthcoming fragrance (Diane) on Twitter, and now the designer has taken to her blog to discuss the reasons behind her triumphant return to beauty: “In the last 10 years, the perfumes that have been created seem more like beautiful ideas but a bit soulless…I wanted to put the true power of a woman in a bottle!” If anyone can do it, she can. Leighton Meester’s debut commercial as the face of Vera Wang’s new Lovestruck fragrance hit the Web today, and in case the rock reinterpretation of ESG’s “My Love for You” didn’t tip you off, the floral eau is meant for the young and hip. [Grazia]

Estée Lauder is the latest beauty giant to get into hot water over Photoshopping claims—although in an interesting turn of events, model Caroline Louise Forsling is suing the cosmetics giant for not digitally retouching her face. Forsling is alleging that the advertising visual that displays her smile lines and forehead wrinkles has “irreparably damaged” her career. [Daily Mail]
