Last month, Johan Lindeberg fêted the opening of a Soho pop-up shop for his denim-driven label, BLK DNM, at which he launched the brand’s first publication, aptly titled BLK DNM Gazette. But that’s not all the news from Team Lindeberg. We learned at last night’s “You Can’t Fake Fashion” party that the designer will soon be launching his own unisex fragrance. “I have demanding friends and if they want something, I am going to hear about it,” Lindeberg joked. Friends like Nate Lowman, André Balazs, André Saraiva, Camilla Stærk, and Wes Anderson, to name a few. “[A fragrance] just makes sense for the brand,” he added. While the Swedish designer is keeping mum about the forthcoming eau’s specifics, he did reveal that it will launch in late September, and like the modestly named T Shirt 1 and Jean 2 styles in the BLK DNM collection, the flacon will be named Fragrance 1. “I am at the point in my life where I like things to be simple and easy,” Lindeberg says.
