Jennifer Aniston’s Bid For Brunette, Tom Ford’s Small Dig On Big Girls, And More…

Turns out perpetually blonde Jennifer Aniston was the one who insisted that her golden locks be dyed dark for her new role in Horrible Bosses. “We had this wonderful period of time I call ‘Hair Gate,’ ” the actress says, in which the film’s studio was concerned that Aniston would be unrecognizable to audiences as a brunette. But the Friends star ultimately won out, describing the feeling of doing away with her sunny strands as “a freedom.” [Monsters & Critics]

As Kate Middleton continues on her North American tour replete with daily outfit changes, the Duchess of Cambridge is inspiring fashion trends—and a specific beauty trend as well: short, nude nails. Bare manis—so hot for Fall 2011. [Allure]

In a candid interview with Time Out Hong Kong, Tom Ford opens up about his opinions on family, fashion, and the great size debate. “Americans are too fat,” Ford says, discussing what kind women will be able to wear his clothes. “In London they are starting to get fat too,” he elaborates. Ford is excited to cut for Chinese women, though, pointing out that he finds their collective slimness “refreshing.” [Huff Po]

Ford will presumably be pleased with newly crowned Miss South Carolina, all things considered. The curvy Bree Boyce dropped 110 lbs to win the tiara and will focus her Miss America bid on educating America’s overweight youth. [Daily Mail]
