Bangs: They’re Back?

The celebrity fringe movement that hit its peak about three years ago seems to be having a resurgence. First, Taylor Swift hit the cover of this month’s Vogue with long, face-framing layers, and now both Reese Witherspoon and Jessica Biel have made the cut. Witherspoon, who was spotted at the This Means War premiere last night in London, is revisiting the choppy “breakup bangs” that she debuted at the 2007 Golden Globes following her split from Ryan Phillippe (that was the yellow Nina Ricci dress year, for the red-carpet watchers among you), while the future Mrs. Timberlake has resurrected her side-swept fringe circa 2009 with a much heavier, darker iteration. Thoughts on the style’s second coming?
