Paul & Joe Has Cat-Scratch Fever

January 10, 2012  5:50 pm

When Paul & Joe Beauté launched its Cat Lipstick line last summer—mouth-flattering pigments with bullet tips in the shape of cat heads—women the world over let out a collective purr. Just when we thought the Parisian beauty brand that’s partial to vintage-inspired floral print packaging couldn’t get any cuter, its design team completely outdid itself. A hit with cat lovers—and those of us who have never much cared for felines (we are sworn dog lovers; always have been, always will be)—the lipsticks were instant collectors’ items that provided many hours of painted pout fun long after those pointy ears and embossed whiskers wore away. The lipsticks’ limited run ended way to soon, if you ask us, which is presumably why the brand is bringing them back, although this time it’s cheeks that are getting the kittenish treatment. Paul & Joe’s new Blusher Sticks feature a cream-to-powder formula in three different shades for all of your face contouring needs: Glamour Puss is a pearlescent beige that adds light to the tops of cheekbones, down the bridge of the nose and along the cupid’s bow of lips; Minou is a classic rose that creates the perfect pink veil; and Catfight is a bold coral that will amp up the apples of your cheeks accordingly. The fact that each boasts a faint, floral scent thanks to an infusion of moisturizing and aromatic orange flower water and white lily extract makes them that much more endearing.
