Dr. Hauschka Takes Three
Dr. Hauschka has a cult following amongst fashion folk that other brands can only dream of. Gucci Westman keeps the German-born line’s Rose Day Cream close at hand backstage at shows like Oscar de la Renta and Rag & Bone, and a certain Italian screen star and newly named Dolce & Gabbana spokeswoman swears by the range’s totally natural formulas (more on that next month). Even we have fallen victim to the lure of its nourishing, chemical-free tinctures and salves, the supremely gentle Cleansing Milk in particular. So on the rare occasion that the brand introduces new offerings, we pay attention—even when the newness in question is a body moisturizer, a product that rarely (and we mean, rarely) gets us excited. Just in time to help you weather the chalky-skin-inducing seasonal transition, Dr. H has released three new variations of its already beloved lotion. The Almond variety uses rich essential almond oil, quince, and marshmallow to treat extremely dry and sensitive limbs; Lemon Lemongrass has a zingy scent and toning quality; and Lavender Sandalwood, our personal favorite, creates a moisturizing shield for the skin with a cocktail of macadamia nut and avocado oils, all while offering a mellowing olfactory experience. All three are very good news for the skirt- (and maybe shorts-?) wearing opportunities that have unexpectedly befallen the East Coast. It’s going to be 70 degrees today, New York; best to lather up.
