Karl Talks Hair Powder; The Donald Does (Another) Fragrance; And More…

While Karl Lagerfeld admits to hating the word “routine,” he sticks to a pretty strict regimen when it comes to his hair. “I have my hair done because I hate to have hair in my face when I sketch. My hair is not really white; it’s kind of grayish, and I don’t like the color. So I make it totally white with Klorane dry shampoo.” [Bazaar]

For those of you who may have forgotten, Donald Trump launched a fragrance with Estée Lauder eight years ago. Now comes news that he plans to follow the scent, called To Trump, with a second flacon named Success (what else?). “I wanted to do a fragrance for all of my clubs, all my buildings and all of my everything. And we still use it,” Trump says of his original eau. “This one [the second] is meant for that also, but it’s going to be a much more international fragrance. We’re going to go much bigger with it.” Be afraid. [WWD]

Disgraced Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich is prison-bound this week, and while his lavish lifestyle will change dramatically, his much discussed coif should be able to retain its former glory. “I taught him how to do the haircut,” Blagojevich’s long-standing Chicago-based barber reports. Ralph Rucci, the fragrance, is happening. “I’ve had the bottle design, advertisement layout, and fragrance ready to go since ’84,” the designer says. [Fashion Etc.]
