Traveling Along The Blond-Redhead Continuum
Emma Stone is a fan of keeping things interesting when it comes to her hair color—which is in large part thanks to her trusted colorist, Tracey Cunningham. The natural blonde went a shade of bright red soon after arriving in Hollywood, and it was as a ginger that she landed her first big breaks in movies like Super Bad and Easy A. Then last year saw a return to blond—very, very blond—for her role in this summer’s The Amazing Spider-Man. But once filming wrapped on the action flick, Stone transitioned back into auburn after a powwow with Cunningham. “She’s the only woman I will trust to stick her hands in my hair,” the star of The Help once told us of the Redken color consultant. But it’s Cunningham’s New York-based coloring compatriot, Marie Robinson, who has given Stone her latest look, which registers somewhere in between flaxen and fiery—let’s call it honey strawberry. Stone debuted the first phase of the lightening process last week in New York and at this weekend’s WonderCon press conference in California, the actress’ new color seemed to reach its saturation point. Which shade do you think suits her best?
