Cannes Is For Curls
Since Audrey Tautou burst onto the international film scene with her microbangs and short flip in 2001′s smash hit Amélie, she’s undergone a series of hair transformations. There was the grown-out lob, followed by the pixie cut, which she debuted in 2006 for The Da Vinci Code‘s press tour—and subsequently wore in all manner of quiffs and pompadours—and then it was back to a bob sans bangs. The actress’ thick black strands are now well past her shoulders, but Tautou is still game for a little experimentation. At the premiere of her new movie Thérèse Desqueyroux at Cannes on Sunday, she embraced red-carpet curls in a big way. It’s a rare move in these days of smooth blow-outs and sleek updos, but it sends a message of a certain kind of classic glamour that’s worth resurrecting, in our opinion. Don’t you agree?
