It’s In The bag

Not all makeup bags are created equal. Some cosmetics cases are best suited to travel, some sit on your vanity serving merely as extra storage space for that back stock of eye shadow you “fully intend on using,” and others still are perfectly proportioned to slip into even the tiniest of clutches. Then there’s the select bag that’s meant to be seen. So it goes with MAC’s new Art and Glamour collection. The beauty behemoth has enlisted the services of three illustrators to create a series of custom-designed pouches. A graphic red, yellow, white, and black swirl comes courtesy of London artist Nikki Farquharson, while internationally renowned fashion illustrator François Berthoud’s offering features a bright array of pop art florals. Our pick goes to Julie Verhoeven’s abstract faces, though, which—spoiler alert—will be holding our fashion week beauty essentials come September. Keep your eyes peeled for it at the tents.
