The 411: Vaishaly

It was Vaishaly Patel’s impressive eyebrow threading abilities that first caught the eye of London’s beauty aficionados. But her claim to fame since that initial arch-grooming arrival has everything to do with her signature facials. A holistic approach, a commitment to products with all-organic ingredients (like, say, those in her own eponymous line), and a mastery of age-old but often mishandled techniques like microdermabrasion and wrinkle-erasing massage has earned her the moniker of “super-facialist”—and even given her one-name-wonder status. Known simply as Vaishaly by a global list of acolytes—including a number of celebrity one-name wonders like Gwyneth, Nigella, and Kirsten—her Marylebone clinic is a must-stop in London, no matter how many LFW shows you might have on your calendar this weekend. Here, the skin-saver shares some of her own hometown beauty bets for LFW and beyond.

The Color Master: Shai at Gielly Green
“Shai is the owner and is Israeli so he just knows how to do dark hair well without making it go red.”Gielly Green, 42-44 George St., London, W1U 7ES, 020-7034-3060,

The Trusted Stylist: Nando at Richard Ward
“Nando is the man to see for a cut or blow-dry. He is just fantastic, he gets it right every time! You feel like a million dollars when’s he’s finished. I’ve had the most comments since he’s being doing my hair, which is nearly for the last ten years.”
Richard Ward, 82 Duke of York Square, London, SW3 4LY, 020-7730-1222,

The Polish Perfectionists: Vaishaly Clinic
“I have three of the best therapists in town doing nails. I’m extremely fussy and will only offer treatments that I personally would have, and my standards are high!”
Vaishaly Clinic, 51 Paddington St., Mayfair, London, W1U 4HR, 020-7224-6088,

The Destination Spa: Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris
“It’s absolutely high-class perfection! From the treatments to the therapists, service, spa, and hotel, it’s a benchmark for pure excellence on every level.”
31 Avenue George V, Paris, 01-49-52-7000,

The Fitness Guru: Ellis Stockwell
“I go there for personal training. They make it fun at the same time and always different so you never get bored of the same routine. I actually look forward to going because you have such a laugh with them as well.”
Ellis Stockwell, 69 Chamberlayne Rd., London, NW10 3ND, 020 8964 3797,

The Alternative Medicine Master: Dr. Hung D. Tran
“I’ve been seeing him for acupuncture once a month for the last four years. Emotionally and mentally I’m in a good place, and my energy levels and health are great now. He’s also a Buddhist, and through him I now follow the Buddhist way of life, which has changed my whole life.”
Dr. Tran, Flat C, 37 York St., London, W1H PW, 020-7486-8990,

The Dining Destination: Roka
“I love Roka on Charlotte Street. They do the best Japanese in London. Great service, great food, and nice ambience. My favorite are the prawn and avocado maki rolls and the spare ribs glazed in honey and peanuts.”
