The House Of Creed Shacks Up With Bergdorf Goodman
The House of Creed is expanding—both its fan base and its physical presence in New York. A few weeks after swimming sensation Ryan Lochte outed himself as a lover of the family-owned operation that dates back to the eighteenth-century British monarchy, the company has opened an über-luxe shop-in-shop at Bergdorf Goodman. Just in time for New York fashion week, the 280-square-foot, Tomas Frenes-designed atelier will offer a wide selection of the storied brand’s atomizers, candles, room sprays, soaps, body lotions, and, of course, its library of more than 40 scents. The white, mirrored installation is meant to echo the classically modern ambience of the Creed boutique in Paris—the very same boutique that hosted one Lana Del Rey, who was spotted reupping her stash of Spring Flowers, a fragrance that was originally created in the mid-eighties for Audrey Hepburn, at the Avenue Pierre 1er de Serbie store earlier this spring. It’s definitely worth a peek if you plan on braving the streets of midtown for FNO tonight—and even more so after the shows wind down, when sixth-generation perfumer Olivier Creed will make his first visit to the U.S. in seven years for the official ribbon cutting.
