Brad, The Beautiful

When it was announced last May that Brad Pitt would be the new face of Chanel No. 5, the first man to represent the famous flacon, we had just one question: Will he wear nothing but a few spritzes of the aldehyde, bergamot, jasmine, rose, and ylang-ylang eau to sleep at night next to Angie, à la Marilyn “naked except for a few drops” Monroe? While it may seem odd to have Pitt serve brand ambassador duties for a perfume that typically recruits starlets like Catherine Deneuve, Ali MacGraw, Nicole Kidman, and, most recently, Audrey Tatou for that honor, we get it: No. 5 is an icon, and so is Pitt; easy enough. To cement that icon status and in honor of Pitt’s Joe Wright-directed commercial for the perfume that debuts on Monday, we’ve rounded up some of the father of six’s most memorable beauty moments—both the good and the questionable—to help further explain why putting the blond boy wonder’s mug next to that classic, glass square bottle will likely distract, er, compel a great many women to indulge in a little dousing. Click here for a slideshow (and you’re welcome).

What a great choice! Im honestly suprised that it took Chanel this long to use a man to symbolize N° 5 as the scent was originally created to epitomize the 1920′s male. I can’t wait to see the campaign…this should be sexy.

Have you seen the campaign by now? Sexy???? Terrible. I haven’t seen anything worst than this in anything from Chanel. Who’s idea was it I truly wonder?
