Nicole’s Minimal Makeover

Nicole Richie is no stranger to bold makeup. The designer who launched her first fragrance this month swears by statement lips, smoky lids, and cat-eyes, which she frequently draws on with MAC Liquid Eye Liner in Boot Black. “I’ve worn it forever,” she once told us—which is why we were surprised to see her at the 7th annual Teen Vogue Fashion University in New York this weekend sporting a very natural, dare we say business-casual, beauty look. Richie cashed in the hyperstylized hair, red mouth, and sultry shadows for a creamy blush, a sweep of brown eye grease, and lots and lots of lashes. And you know what? It was working for her. Would you say less is more?
