Charlotte Casiraghi Paints It Black
We’ve always been a little enamored with Charlotte Casiraghi. The Monegasque princess’ lineage alone is enough to enchant: the second child of Princess Caroline and the late Italian industrialist Stefano Casiraghi, Charlotte’s grandmother was much-loved American actress Grace Kelly. A renowned equestrian champion, Casiraghi also has a Gucci campaign to her name—a partnership that makes perfect sense considering the Italian brand’s sponsorship of the Paris Masters, an international horse jumping competition that took place this weekend. Casiraghi was on hand at the event both as a presenter and a competitor, during which time she donned an interesting accessory: black nail polish. There’s something downright proper about the fashion darling, who seems more comfortable in riding boots than stilettos, so we were shocked—and subsequently impressed—by her bold manicure move (editor’s note: Black lacquers, like NARS’ new Andy Warhol Nail Polish in Back Room and LCN’s varnish in Caldron, offer a slightly unexpected twist on the influx of Fall’s dark glamour-inspired bordeaux bottles). Thoughts on the royal’s tips?
