Lena Dunham Does Twiggy; Rose McGowan Lightens Up; And More…

After debuting her brand-new, Miley Cyrus-inspired pixie cut in the winter issue of i-D magazine, Lena Dunham has undergone another makeover for her Entertainment Weekly cover turn. The sixties homage takes a page out of the Spring 2013 Marc Jacobs handbook, with lots of lashes and a black banana liner as well as mod, black and white nails by Marc-approved manicurist Elisa Ferri. The first Walgreens flagship has arrived on the West Coast, and it is not messing around. In addition to a fully equipped Look Boutique—the drugstore’s upmarket niche showcase that stocks brands like Cargo, Roger & Gallet, Nuxe Paris, Vichy, and Boots No. 7—there are a frozen yogurt station, fresh sushi bar, coffee and espresso bar, and juice and smoothie bar. Only in L.A. [Racked]

In a further testament to the equal-opportunity nature of nail art comes Midrash Manicures, a twentysomething rabbi’s teaching tool-turned-commercial success story. Heads up to those of you looking for early Hanukkah gifts. [Fashionista]
