Introducing The Incredible, Invisible Setting Powder

We recognize that it’s difficult to get excited about a pressed powder, but bear with us as NARS’ new Light Reflecting Setting Powder is an exceptional case. The white mineral-infused powder is completely invisible on the skin, yet still boasts impressive stealthlike powers. Formulated with vitamin E and glycerin, the supersheer wonder is meant to help your skin “shine through” foundation and hold makeup in place without creasing or fading. Worn on its own or atop your usual base, it also helps smooth and optically fade fine lines, wrinkles, and pores. After testing out the pressed version (it also comes in a loose powder form) we can attest to its long-wearing, radiance-enhancing capabilities: We layered a smattering between our tinted moisturizer and bronzer-blush and found both intact after a long day at the office, much face touching, and even a few tears (the happy, birthday kind). And while the powder will be ideal in the summer months, to absorb excess oil, its matte finish brings a welcomed enhancement to the complexion in winter, too, as it leaves behind a trace of dewiness. Editor’s note: Seeing as how it’s completely colorless—seriously, not even a hint of pigment—you might want to swipe on a brighter shade of lipstick for a little pop.

NARS Light Reflecting Setting Powder will be available in loose powder form at the 413 BLKR flagship boutique in New York and on January 15; the pressed powder form will be available exclusively at Sephora on February 1, and March 15 on
