Lena Dunham Enters Her Blue Period
Last night, we were delighted to find Girls star Lena Dunham chatting with Jon Stewart when we turned on the television to get our Daily Show fix. Things took a turn for the funny and charming, as they often do with Dunham, when the conversation focused on her recent Golden Globe win. “We heard one photographer say, ‘Ugh, newbies,” she joked of the paparazzi response when she posed for pictures with her statuette post-show. “Then someone screamed, ‘Get media trained!” Dunham’s savvy for stroking her award and posing for the cameras may be a work in progress, but her beauty aptitude appears to be right-on. As she continued to banter with Stewart, we noticed that her thick, well-applied cat-eye wasn’t black but navy—an inky, dark midnight akin to the color Tom Pecheux used backstage at Altuzarra for Spring. Either someone’s been reading our trend reports, or Dunham just happens to be innately on message (we’re sticking with the former). Thoughts on her beauty moment?
I love her. I love the show. I think she’s so honest and brave. I’m so tired of people bashing her because she doesn’t look like Blake Lively or whomever they expect to see on tv. She’s so smart and witty.
