Naomi Watts’ People’s Choice Awards Twofer

-------

Naomi Watts had a big morning. The British-born actress learned bright and early that she had been nominated for a best actress Oscar for her performance in Impossible. But she had a pretty big night yesterday, too. Mrs. Liev Schreiber showed up to the People’s Choice Awards in L.A. sporting a dual-phase hairstyle that made her an instant hit on the red carpet (that stunning gilded Alexander McQueen halter gown certainly didn’t diminish her appeal). One part slicked-back, deceptive side-shave, one part faux bob with peekaboo bang, the look was a multitextured triumph—a modernized version of the classic Old Hollywood side part with waves, if you will. She’s got our vote for best coif of the evening. As for that elusive Oscar, we’ll have to wait until February to find out. Thoughts on Naomi’s avant-garde ’do?
