Anne Hathaway’s Manicure Of Memories
Jennifer Hudson was my red-carpet favorite last night. (You, Ms. Hudson, are an inspiration to us all). But coming in a close second was Anne Hathaway. I’m not a rabid Hathaway fan, although it was hard not to fall for her flawless Prada halter dress in that gorgeous pale pink satin with the crisscrossed straps in back. It sent the flashbulbs ablaze when the actress arrived at the Dolby Theatre, and images of her and the gown started flooding the Internet. Less photographed, however, were the tiny good-luck charms Hathaway brought along with her: monogrammed nail art. If you looked real close while the Les Mis star clutched her golden statuette throughout most of the evening and its after-parties, you may have made out the two coats of L’Oréal Paris’ forthcoming The Palace of Life shell lacquer from its new limited-edition Versailles Romance Colour Riche nail collection, due out next month, and the fancy script letters celebrity nail artist Tom Bachik etched onto Hathaway’s ring fingers with a metallic silver nail pen, one for each of her grandmothers’ first initials. Best supporting actress, indeed. Thoughts on Anne’s deferential digits?
