The 411: Jessie Randall of Loeffler Randall
A woman with good shoes is never ugly,” Coco Chanel famously said—just one of the many catchy turns of phrase coined by the designer over the course of her illustrious career. It also happens to be a more-than-fitting mantra for Loeffler Randall creative director Jessie Randall. Born in 2005 after Randall, on a hunt for elegant shoes with a bit of personality, was unable to locate a pair to her liking, the footwear label has become one of the most popular brands around, winning a CFDA accessory prize in 2007. Since then Randall has collaborated with the retail giant Target—and Suno, the cool-kid mainstay—and has also lent her design-savvy to the launch of a line of bridal footwear as well as a collection of handbags, as of last season. But what continues to make Loeffler Randall the no-brainer shoe choice for many a discerning woman is Randall’s knack for fusing distinctive designs and colors with a supremely comfortable construction: Her classic Tamsin pump is, hands down, one of the most highly wearable heels you can find—and, for the fellow flats-lovers of the world, a seemingly endless array of those abound in her arsenal, too. A multitasking mother of three boys, Randall still finds the time for some much-needed pampering. Here, she gives us the inside track on her low-maintenance beauty approach.
The Cut and Color: Snip n’ Sip
“I get my hair cut and colored by Ricky and his fantastic team at Snip n Sip. They’re the only ones who can get my color just the way I want it. I love the fifties vibe of the salon and how they offer old-fashioned candies and soda. It’s a place where I can zone out for a couple hours and actually chill. It’s also an hour and fifty minutes total for a color and cut—that’s unheard of!”

The Day Spa Do: The Mandarin Oriental
“My favorite spa in the city is at the Mandarin Oriental. I like to treat myself twice a year to a full day of lounging in the hot tub and steam room and a hot stone massage. The best part is last: looking out over Central Park as you lie in the recovery room, eating fruit skewers and sipping tea. It makes months of exhaustion melt away.”

The Extreme Home Workout: Insanity
“I am in the midst of Insanity by Shaun T right now, and I actually really like it! The key for me is the secret Facebook support group I’m in, run by a friend in college who is an Insanity coach (Lindsey Rose Neal, coach #204867). Each day we log in our workouts and offer support and encouragement. Having this accountability has really impacted my success with the workout. Next, I’m moving on to Les Mills Pump!”

The Fitness Fixation: Fitbit
“My friend recently turned me on to the Fitbit, which tracks the number of steps I take each day, stairs climbed, calories burned, activity level, etcetera. It can also track your sleep! It’s been an amazing tool in pushing me to get more active each day and find little pockets of time where I can squeeze in more exercise.”

The Pill Packet: Dr. Perricone
“I loathe vitamins—loathe/em> them. But I recently wanted to improve the quality of my skin, so I started taking Dr. Perricone Skin and Total Body vitamins, which are little packets of various vitamins formulated to improve your skin. I think they definitely work. You are supposed to take two packets a day but I only take one and it seems to be doing the trick!”

The Skin Savior: Tata Harper
“I love Tata Harper products because they are completely natural and healthy for my body—and they work. They smell wonderful, too. I use the Rejuvenating Serum every day; it plumps up and moisturizes my skin. Love it.”

The Makeup Must-Haves: Triple Threat
“To be honest, I need a little help in the makeup department. I’ve never really worn makeup and don’t know how to apply it very well. That said, my few go-to products are DiorSkin Blush in Rosy Glow, Clinique’s Line Smoothing Concealer, and sometimes I wear NARS Lipstick in Heat Wave; I like how matte it is. Most days though, I just smear a little Aquaphor ointment on my lips and it does the trick.”

The Weekender: The Standard, Miami
“I went here on a girls trip a few months ago and loved it. The hotel is so relaxing and chill. It’s the perfect place to hang out with girlfriends. You can use the spa facilities all day long for free (treatments are extra though) and the pool is gorgeous. They also make the best green juice I’ve ever had.”
