Lancôme’s Got Double Vision
Makeup with skincare benefits is a common phenomenon these days. Consider the BB—and now CC—cream craze, which is proof positive that sun-protecting, tone-enhancing, damage-correcting, age-delaying foundations and tinted moisturizers are way more desirable than plain color products alone. Still, Lancôme’s latest entry into the category manages to stand out from the pack. It’s new Teint Visionnaire packs the power of the brand’s cult-classic Visionnaire serum—which treats the face to a whopping 4 percent dose of LR 2412, a patent-protected plant molecule that activates the skin’s defense mechanisms to help heal damage and smooth fine lines and wrinkles in the process—into not one, but two complexion-perfecting products that have been conveniently packaged into one magical receptacle. Available in twenty shades, the makeup duo features a foundation with a top pot of concealer, both of which act to diminish dark spots, minimize pores, and reduce the visible signs of aging while camouflaging blemishes. It’s the convenience factor that’s really selling us here (we’ll take any opportunity to minimize our makeup arsenal), but the youth-enhancing long-term effects that now come with the instant gratification of applying a base and then spot-correcting—with a single bottle—certainly don’t hurt.
