Savor the Moment

------- owner Angela Jia Kim designed her West Village organic pampering haven for beauty seekers in search of a much-needed respite from the world. “The spa is meant for a woman like me, who has about an hour to herself but wants to have glowing skin and feel refreshed,” she elaborates. A full-service extension of Om Aroma, the luxury organic-skincare line Kim started in 2007, the destination opened its doors this past January, after a major renovation and expansion, and offers a simplified menu of facials, massages, and nail services. While the skin-brightening Vitamin C Glow facial is already proving a customer favorite, Kim’s new Bespoke Beauty Bar, which opened this month, is destined for greatness. Aestheticians can now custom-blend up to five toners—Rose, Tea Tree, Neroli, Lemongrass, and Lavender—based on the client’s unique skincare needs, and each client is given a toner number so she can easily reorder her uniquely tailored tonic. “After a facial, your aesthetician has just spent an hour working with your skin. She knows exactly what you’ll need to keep you glowing until your next visit,” Kim explains, making a better hands-on diagnosis pretty hard to come by.
