Tatcha Goes for Gold
We’re of the mind that you can never have too many lip balms—even in the summer, when January’s cold, whipping winds are but a distant memory. We collect them, actually, so every bag switch or coat-pocket dig-around typically results in the discovery of a long-forgotten tube or tub of the suppleness-inducing emollients. But we don’t plan on losing Tatcha’s new Camellia Nourishing Lip Balm—anytime soon, at least. The squalene and camellia-, rice-, and macadamia-oil-enriched salve penetrates into lips almost on impact and features a small square of 24-karat-gold leaf on the top of the jar to evoke the Japanese brand’s homage to Imperial Japan and the opulent beauty rituals of its geisha girls. With every rub of the finger, a bit of the gilded shimmer melts deeper into the formula (and into our hearts).
