Shot in the Dark
Forget about the flurry of cropped cuts that have inundated Twitter and Instagram over the past few days, and let’s focus on model Sasha Pivovarova, who goes to the dark side for the cover of Russian Vogue‘s September issue (set to hit newsstands on Thursday). She traded in her dishwater-blonde color, seen during the Fall 2013 season, for a deep black-brown hue. And her badass-schoolgirl look—complete with frayed plaid skirt, studded-leather cuff, and heavily rimmed eyes—reminds us of Fairuza Balk (i.e., the volatile Nancy Downs) in The Craft.
