Blush Up

Chanel BlushA touch daunting in the pan? Perhaps. But Chanel’s limited-edition Joues Contraste in Accent makes taupe blush an unexpectedly wearable addition to any fall beauty wardrobe. Part of the fabled house’s Nuit Infinie holiday offering, Accent is the collection’s dark horse (literally). This dusty, grayish mauve looks chock-full of silver shimmer in the compact, but the buttery blush disappears into skin and lends a soft, candlelit glow. My preferred method of application: Avoid your apples altogether and instead use a fluffy blush brush to dust it in the hollows of your cheeks. The resulting contours are more nineties Calvin Klein campaign than Kim Kardashian—and just edgy enough to upstage your go-to bronzer.
