Lite+Cycle’s Bicoastal Bougie

There are many a lovely scented candle out there—your floral medleys, your sugary confections, your warm and fuzzy gourmands—that all earn our appreciation for their apartment-rejuvenating aromas. In fact, we have been known to feverishly candle-hoard, collecting dozens of them at a time so we can always have one at the ready for any and all scent-related emergencies (and believe it or not, those exist and arise often). But our latest candle predilection earned our affection not just for its scent—which is, in a word, captivating—but for the transporting story behind it. Lite+Cycle’s designer Kristi Head wanted to capture, in the olfactory sense at least, the spirit of her old (New York) and new (Los Angeles) homes, and Urban Forest does just that: coffee notes for buzzy NYC and a blend of woodsy ones (wild-grown cedar, fennel and fir) to represent her favorite L.A. place to explore, Griffith Park. Think of it as bicoastal candle for the urban woodsman in all of us.
