Olivia Was Once a Wilde Child

-------

ASMALLWORLD Relaunch Weekend Celebration at The Beldi Country Club in Marrakech, Morocco Hosted by SABINE HELLER and PATRICK LIOTARD-VOGTIt’s hard to imagine the brunette bombshell that is Olivia Wilde with blue hair, but according to the actress, she dabbled in the rainbow trend long before it made its way onto the runway and the strands of street-style stars. “I was this 12-year-old who dyed my hair every different Manic Panic color, and then I shaved the back of my head, and I’ve tried every different color of everything because it’s about self-discovery,” she said of her rebellious pre-teen years. But despite her impeccable cat-eye (the only thing she applies now for going out), Wilde doesn’t think that experimentation has to end at adolescence. Whether it’s trying out electric blue eyeliner or faux freckles, this new mom (as of yesterday) thinks we should all just “take away the pressure” when it comes to hair and makeup. “I think we should keep playing and totally see our beauty and faces as a canvas and have fun,” she added. Then again, it doesn’t hurt to have a “canvas” as naturally gorgeous as Wilde’s. To discover all her must-haves, read our latest Beauty Essentials feature, where Wilde unveils all of her pregnancy cravings—from sandalwood-scented candles to the ultimate moisturizing duo.
