Between film premieres, parties, and celeb-studded events around the globe, this week was full of memorable hair and makeup looks (including Carolyn Murphy’s sleek knot and Cara Delevingne’s bronzed eyes). Here, we recap five more of our favorite beauty moves.

Zoë Kravitz, 2014 Met Ball, New York
Now that spring has finally sprung, our favorite girls are upping their red-carpet game with bold, attention-grabbing hues. At Monday’s star-studded Met ball, Kravitz played up her crimson dress with a daring red eye, a color that came courtesy of Chanel’s Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Color in Incandescente.

Rihanna, Dior’s Resort 2015 Show, Brooklyn, New York
Super-high ponies are having a serious moment (remember Cara’s take?). Rihanna teamed hers with a bold red lip and pastel nails for Dior’s Resort show at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Suki Waterhouse, Burberry’s Dinner for the New Museum, New York
The swinging sixties were a major reference on the Fall ’14 runways, and we love the idea of mod-inflected beauty. Waterhouse opted for a Brigitte Bardot-like, half-up hair look and smudgy charcoal shadow for a Burberry dinner on Wednesday.

Solange Knowles, Creative Time Gala, New York
Some of the best beauty advice we’ve heard is to stick with your natural hair texture. Knowles opted for a halo of big, natural curls, then expertly matched her lipstick to her poppy dress.

Janelle Monáe, Met Ball, New York
We love a girl with a signature look. Monáe and her trademark pouf exploded on the scene a few years ago, and for this year’s Met ball she added a long braid.
