seyfriedAmanda Seyfried has been hard at work promoting her soon-to-be-released movie Lovelace, in which she plays the title role. Last night, the 27-year-old actress turned up on the red carpet at the film’s New York premiere, wearing a dark denim look from Givenchy’s Resort collection, which she complemented with retro-inspired, glamorous curls courtesy of Thomas Dunkin and a polished red pout painted by makeup artist Katey Denno. Yesterday, Byrdie published a story on the starlet’s beauty routine, including a quote about her affinity for lip color. “I don’t wear a lot of makeup, but I’m into the lipstick thing,” said the Clé de Peau spokeswoman. “It’s a lazy-person thing,” she added. Later in the evening, Seyfried hit up the Cinema Society’s after-party at the Refinery Hotel, and it appeared as though she spent a few thoughtful minutes in the powder room, removing all traces of her statement lipstick before posing for the paparazzi again. To get people excited about the collab, which launches at the end of the month, the San Francisco beauty giant has just released a teaser video featuring Williamson and his product arsenal. A Red-Carpet Red Lip-Off


New York was definitely not feeling the lipstick love at the Spring shows last month. But once the fashion circuit moved to Europe, painted pouts ruled the runways once more—and continue to dominate the red carpet. A host of big-billing events last night saw a gaggle of A-listers pull out their best bullets for a few seconds in front of the flashbulbs, and with a number of nods to classic Hollywood glamour, scarlet and crimson colors ruled, yielding three stellar mouth moments: In New York, Solange Knowles opted for a bright, matte cerise at the Angel Ball, while Taylor Swift chose a glossy cherry to release her new CD, which is, uncoincidentally, called Red. But Amanda Seyfried’s makeup at the 16th Annual Hollywood Film Awards gala in L.A. just might be our favorite, as she worked the soft-focus, blurred-around-the-edges, rose petal red that Lucia Pieroni made famous backstage at Rochas. But maybe that’s just us. Which do you prefer?
